Rusty Dodson was born in Pittsburgh to parents that instilled in her a fiercely independent way of thinking. After years of working in jobs where her creativity and flare for the artistic was left to stagnate she decided to take the entrepreneurial leap and open the Bead Bungalow. Now, a mother of three and grandmother of four, she spends her days creating beauty and fostering in others the same sense of wonder and the sublime that makes her work such a joy.

Jenny Cone has been working part time and teaching jewelry classes at the Bead Bungalow for three years. Prior to becoming a full time jewelry designer, Jenny had a career in outside sales for a local foodservice broker. After taking a basic jewelry making class at the Bead Bungalow over five years ago, she soon found designing and making jewelry was an excellent outlet for her creativity. Jenny’s jewelry is sold under the company name Jenny Wren Custom Jewelry and you can find her jewelry sold in the Artists Corner at the Bead Bungalow. Each one of Jenny’s original jewelry designs is handmade and no two pieces are alike. She enjoys creating custom pieces by request and while she does like to follow recent trends, she also is inspired to design classic and timeless jewelry that you can wear everyday.

Carleen once co-owner of Bead Bungalow, now spends the majority of her days lounging on the sofa eating chocolates and watching her favorite soap operas. If it weren't for the sound of her two-year-old rappelling down the bookshelf, Carleen would not be jolted back into reality: the constant hustle of raising two small children, growing her jewelry design business and teaching jewelry classes to unrecovered bead addicts throughout the Annapolis area. |
